Accessibility statement

Levyloom is being designed so that people can understand and use the public website across different devices, input methods, and access needs. This statement distinguishes completed checks from work still requiring human review.

Our accessibility commitment

We aim for the public website to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. Accessibility is treated as a product quality and operating responsibility, not as a one-time overlay or certification badge.

We work to make the site perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust, including when text is enlarged, motion is reduced, colours are overridden, JavaScript is unavailable, or a keyboard is used instead of a pointer.

Current status

Designed toward WCAG 2.2 AA; current verification remains open

The redesigned release candidate is undergoing automated accessibility checks, including axe scans across five configured browser and device profiles. Semantic, keyboard, forced-colour, reduced-motion, responsive, and visual checks are also in scope. We do not claim full conformance because current automated verification and a complete manual assistive-technology and physical-device assessment have not all been signed off.

This statement reflects the current implementation and the verification work identified above. Automated results can find important failures but cannot prove that an experience is accessible or usable for everyone. Any manual observations are limited to checks completed for the current implementation and do not substitute for full assistive-technology or physical-device testing.

Accessibility features in the current site

  • Semantic headings, landmarks, lists, links, tables, and clearly labelled page regions.
  • A skip link that moves directly to the main content.
  • Visible keyboard focus and native keyboard operation for controls.
  • Meaningful text labels; status and meaning are not communicated by colour alone.
  • Responsive layouts designed for narrow screens, zoom, text wrapping, and reflow.
  • Reduced-motion behaviour for people who request it through their device settings.
  • Support for forced-colour preferences and resilient high-contrast focus treatment.
  • A useful no-JavaScript reading and navigation baseline.
  • Local imagery with alternative text or an intentionally decorative treatment.
  • A silent decorative About video that starts automatically when visible, where browser settings allow, plays once and stops on its final frame. The hero uses a static image and Contact uses a static architectural photograph. There are no on-screen playback controls. Press Escape to stop the video for the current page visit, or enable reduced motion in your device settings to use its still image. The video also pauses offscreen or when the page is hidden. Still images remain for supported data-saving preferences, unavailable JavaScript, blocked autoplay or playback failure.
  • A decorative colour reveal in Our approach responds to mouse movement, then clears itself. It does not contain information or change the text. It is disabled for touch, reduced motion, forced colours and supported data-saving settings. Escape disables it for the current page visit.
  • No audio, timed task, drag-only control, or flashing content.

Known assessment gaps

We have not yet completed the final release review with VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, a second agreed screen-reader and browser combination, every target physical mobile device, or a native 400% zoom workflow. There may be usability issues those checks reveal that automated testing has not found.

The original Levyloom wordmark geometry is rendered in deep green on ivory headers and in white on the compact dark homepage footer and dark legal-page footers. The logo remains available without JavaScript, with exact text as an image-failure or forced-colour fallback. The surrounding visual system and provisional favicon still await release approval. If approved brand assets or colours change, contrast, text alternatives, focus visibility, zoom, and reflow must be tested again before the change is treated as complete.

Feedback and alternative formats

Email admin@levyloom.com with the subject “Accessibility feedback”. It helps if you include:

  • the page address and the part of the page concerned;
  • what you were trying to do and what happened;
  • your browser, device, and assistive technology, if you are comfortable sharing them; and
  • the format or adjustment that would help.

We will review the barrier, acknowledge your message as soon as reasonably possible, and explain what we can do. You can also ask for website information in an alternative accessible format. We will consider the request and any reasonable adjustment needed to provide access.

Technical information and review

The site uses standards-based HTML, CSS, and a small amount of JavaScript for progressive enhancement. It is designed to work with current standards-compliant browsers and common assistive technologies, while retaining core content and links when JavaScript is unavailable.

This statement's current assessment was prepared on 6 October 2026. It will be reviewed after the outstanding manual and physical-device checks, after a material design or technology change, and at reasonable intervals once the site is deployed.
